Is it necessary?

Funny question....why do we need an efolio? I have not heard from any of my friends that have had interviews that they had to show their efolio. If fact, many of the administrators would ask.."what is an efolio?. regardless of why we need it, mine is finished and I successfully jumped through another hoop in the SRU pe program.

I have just finished a health unit at Grove City High School on the Respiratory System. I made an interactive Jeopardy powerpoint for the class that was put up on the interactive whiteboard. It was nice because I was able to involve the class through the whiteboard by having them cross out answers and amounts on the board. We also had a diagram of the main components of the system and the class was able to come up to the board and label them with the pen. Very helpful for them to learn spelling. I certainly suggest writing a grant for an interactive whiteboard for any of your classrooms.

Wireless Internet

How many of you have a laptop, iphone/smartphone, ipad or other wireless device that is guaranteed to find wireless internet spots and connect automatically? I was just in Philly this weekend and I went to a very nice coffee shop near south Philly. I felt like I walked into an Apple store because EVERYONE had a Mac. Of course, I walk in with my weak and embarassing HP, not hip to have an HP in Philly, and get my white chocolate mocha and nestle into a cozy corner next to a fireplace. I was planning on surfing the internet and simply relaxing as I wished the hours away until my girlfriend came home from work. As you could imagine, I could NOT connect to the internet! This happened in the airport as well! Maybe it is me, maybe it is my HP but I am sick of it!

What ever happened to the good ole days of snail mail, no telephones, horse and buggy, lighting from candles and time was spent with family instead of in front of the tv? Technology has taken a hold on our lives. I am sure some people would not be able to function without their phone for more than 5 minutes. Give me a break! You have lost touch with reality and what should be important in your life! It drives me up a wall when I am trying to have a conversation with someone and they deliberately pull out their phone and start texting! Or if I am sitting in class and I see someone on their phone....show some respect! I am not sure where this technology age is heading, but I certainly hope it brings along some manners with it!
